Render only unto God

Why do the nations rebel and the peoples plot in vain?

The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and His Anointed One: “Let us tear off their chains and free ourselves from their restraints.”

The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord ridicules them. – Psalm 2:1-4

The most powerful in this world have the most contempt for both God and man. God has taken notice.

Whether it’s the dictators swimming in gold as their citizens starve at their palace gates or communists and kings crushing families and imprisoning their critics, or American politicians contending for power through relentless manipulation, all are plotting day after day and year after year against all things good, all things honorable, and all things of God. Seeing this relentless injustice, can absolutely pummel us in this world if we don’t know Who to turn to.

Thanks be to God that He speaks clearly as to what the eternal end is for every unrepentant Satan-serving/self-serving ‘king’ on the planet that have all held Him in contempt and abused His children.

STOP looking to politicians – any one of them - to do anything – anything - that will ever – ever - glorify God or do any good for you, your kids, or your neighbor – ever.

God has given you and I this time to seek God, to know Him, and to go to God alone for all of your needs and then to serve Him and our neighbors with whatever talents, time, and treasure that He alone will provide you with.

Render your life, your time, and your attention to Jesus.

Turn off the TV, pull the computer plug, and go forth and render your taxes to Cesar - and nothing else.

Do these things and marvel at our God, our King, and our Savior.

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? Show Me the tax money.”

So they brought Him a denarius.

And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”

They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way. – Matthew 22:15-22
