Finally, brothers, pray for us that the Lord’s message may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen and guard you from the evil one. – 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
This is the Christian life! Honor, purpose, deliverance, strength, and glory. The battle is on.
Believers are Christian soldiers engaged in spiritual battle empowered and led by God Almighty for the eternal fame and glory of our King, and the very souls of our friends, family, and neighbors.
. The worldly and lost are floundering through life powered by only what fills their stomach egged on by vanities, fears, and pursuit of trivialities that enslave them. That lost life leaves them imprisoned in either dry, meaningless deserts of boredom surrounded by baubles, distractions, and idols, or in eyes wide drowning in seas of fear and loathing.
Let’s go my brothers - receive His strength. The Lord is our Protector as we fight in His power and in His ways though always under attack by evil men and the evil one.
Engage the world with your talents, serve your God and King, care for the poor and needy – all in full faith as our Deliverer goes before us in eternal, all glorious victory.
Spread the Good News in word and in deed - Christ is King and Savior of all!
Go forth in His strength and His authority, proclaiming to these hurting friends, family, and neighbors that the Jesus is the living water and that He quenches the soul’s thirst and raises us up from the depths of despair that we’re sinking under.
Suit up!
This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore,
with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word. -Ephesians 6:13-17
